C2S Property & Construction Networking Event Brings Industry Together with Insight from MP Max Wilkinson

C2S, in collaboration with Official Partner McLoughlin Planning and Plainview Planning, once again brought together professionals from across the construction and property sector for an engaging and well-attended evening of networking, conversation, and insight.

Held as part of the ongoing quarterly series, the event welcomed builders, developers, architects, contractors, legal professionals and those with a vested interest in the built environment. With a relaxed and informal atmosphere, the evening provided the perfect setting for attendees to reconnect, share ideas and build valuable new relationships.

A highlight of the event was guest speaker Max Wilkinson MP, Member of Parliament for Cheltenham and Liberal Democrat Home Affairs Spokesperson. Max shared his perspective on the importance of a positive, well-planned and strategic planning system to support sustainable development across the region.

He spoke about the critical role that effective planning plays in enabling growth, ensuring that development is both thoughtful and beneficial to communities, and how the right framework can unlock opportunities for businesses to thrive. A passionate advocate for tackling climate change, Max emphasised the importance of embedding sustainability into future development, while continuing to support economic growth across the region.

Max also reinforced his strong support for local businesses, recognising the vital role they play in driving economic growth, innovation and job creation. Drawing on his experience both in local government and now in Parliament, he highlighted the need for collaboration between policymakers, planners and the business community to deliver the homes, infrastructure and commercial spaces needed for the future.

The event also provided attendees with the opportunity to connect with the McLoughlin Planning team, who were on hand throughout the evening to offer advice and answer questions on planning matters — a valuable resource for many in the room navigating an increasingly complex landscape.

As always, the event proved to be a popular addition to the C2S calendar, reinforcing the strength and connectivity of the region’s property and construction network.

AI In the Property & Construction Wokshop – 22nd September

Looking ahead, C2S will continue to support the sector with a focused session on “An AI Focus on the Property and Construction Sector.” This practical workshop will explore how AI is reshaping the way buyers search, compare and choose partners, and what that means for visibility, lead generation and conversion. Attendees will gain clear, actionable insight into the “search everywhere” landscape, how to turn interest into qualified enquiries, and how tools such as CRM platforms can better connect marketing, sales and customer relationships. Designed for business owners, directors and sales and marketing leaders, the session will provide a straightforward 90-day playbook to help build a more consistent and confident pipeline — with no theory or hype, just practical steps to drive growth.
