A meaningful gift that funds animal care and life-changing therapeutic experiences in the/our local community

Lydbrook, October 2026 – Orchard Trust has launched a new animal sponsorship campaign, “The Gift of Caring,” inviting animal lovers and thoughtful gift-givers to sponsor one of the much-loved animals at its Therapeutic Smallholding.

From playful goats and curious pigs to friendly ducks, chickens, guinea pigs, tortoises, and alpacas, the animals at Orchard Trust’s smallholding play an important role. Beyond providing everyday companionship, the animals play a therapeutic role. Interacting with them helps adults with learning difficulties and local families reduce anxiety, build confidence, and gain a sense of purpose.

By sponsoring an animal from just £2 per month, supporters help provide essential care for our animals year-round. This includes a safe home, nutritious food, warm bedding, veterinary check-ups, and enrichment activities. Each sponsorship helps ensure the smallholding can continue offering accessible therapeutic sessions for our visitors, making a lasting difference to both animals and people.

There are options to sponsor any of the seven types of animals. The Gift of Caring offers a meaningful and thoughtful gift for birthdays, Christmas or any special occasion. 

Every sponsorship makes a difference to both people and animals. Sponsors also receive a certificate, regular updates, and an invitation to come and meet their chosen animal.
