C2S Leader Boardrooms
Leadership can be rewarding, but it can also be isolating.
Many of the biggest challenges facing business leaders are difficult to discuss in a public forum. Decisions around growth, people, culture, finance and strategy often benefit from honest conversations with those who have faced similar experiences.
OurĀ Leader BoardroomsĀ are designed to create exactly that environment.
Each session brings together an experienced business leader to share the realities behind their journeyāthe successes, the setbacks, the lessons learned and the decisions that shaped their organisation. We focus on open discussion, practical insight and genuine peer-to-peer learning.
Whether your business is scaling, navigating change or preparing for its next chapter, Leader Boardrooms provide the opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, ask questions, challenge ideas and learn from the experiences of others.
A trusted conversation
To encourage open and honest discussion, all Leader Boardrooms operate under theĀ Chatham House Rule.
This means participants are free to use the information and insights shared during the session, butĀ neither the identity nor the affiliation of any speaker or participant may be revealed outside the room.
This creates a safe, confidential environment where leaders can speak candidly, ask difficult questions and share real experiences, knowing the conversation stays within the room.
About John Caines
With more than 30 yearsā experience growing businesses as an owner, investor, chairman and mentor, John Caines brings a wealth of practical insight into what it really takes to build, lead and sustain a successful business.
For this Leader Boardroom, John will share some of the lessons he has learned along the way, from navigating growth and making difficult decisions to developing people, building strong leadership teams and knowing when to step forward, step back or change direction.
The conversation will explore the realities behind business growth: the successes, the challenges and, importantly, the things John might do differently with the benefit of hindsight. Weāll look at how the role of a leader changes as a business evolves, why self-awareness matters, and what it means to take a longer-term view when so much of business can feel focused on the here and now.
John is also the author of The Effective Entrepreneur: A Practical Guide to Leadership and Management of Others and Self, which brings together many of the principles and experiences that have shaped his approach to business and leadership. He is currently updating the book, giving us a timely opportunity to explore which lessons have stood the test of time and what he believes needs to change for todayās entrepreneurs and business leaders.
As always, our Leader Boardroom will be an open and interactive conversation, giving leaders around the table the opportunity to share their own experiences, ask questions and explore what playing āthe long gameā might mean for them and their businesses.
