Before entering Westminster\, Max served as a Cheltenham Borough councillor for over a decade\, putting affordable housing at the heart of his work — campaigns which led to a £180 million housing investment scheme for the town. \nHe also served as Cheltenham’s Cabinet Member for Climate Change\, leading on the Climate Change Supplementary Planning Document and introducing tough new planning rules to get a better deal from developers.
