About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Support Worker to provide one-to-one care for an individual with complex needs. The person we support has a Severe Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and challenging behaviour, alongside physical and medical conditions including hemiplegia, epilepsy, asthma, dysphagia, and pica. He is PEG-fed, uses a wheelchair, and requires full support with mobility and daily living.

Non-verbal and unable to clearly express his needs, he understands key words and simple instructions. This role calls for a calm, patient, and intuitive approach, with the ability to communicate effectively using non-verbal strategies and to foster a structured, supportive environment.

Your responsibilities will include delivering personal care, assisting with PEG feeding after training, supporting mobility and wheelchair use, managing health conditions in line with care plans, and responding appropriately to behavioural or emotional needs. You will play a vital role in promoting his safety, well-being, independence, and quality of life.

In addition to this role, you may also be required to support other people we work with.

Full specialist training will be provided, and while experience with complex needs or challenging behaviours is beneficial, it is not essential.
