Male Support Worker (Nights)
Job Description
As a Support Worker, you will be supporting a gentleman in his 30s who has an acquired brain injury (ABI), resulting in significant physical and cognitive impairments. He requires the use of a stand aid for all transfers and needs support with mobility, personal care, and overnight monitoring to ensure his safety and wellbeing. Due to memory difficulties, he can sometimes become anxious or frustrated, particularly if he feels routines or tasks have not been completed as expected. The role requires a patient, calm, and consistent approach, providing reassurance when needed and following established care plans to maintain a safe and supportive environment. You will play a vital role in promoting his dignity, independence, and quality of life while ensuring all care is delivered safely and compassionately throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide overnight support and welfare checks.
- Assist with personal care and transfers using a stand aid.
- Follow care plans and risk assessments.
- Offer reassurance and emotional support.
- Record and report any concerns or incidents.
- Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times.
