The Most Significant Transformation Gloucestershire Has Seen in a Generation
Gloucestershire is entering a once-in-a-generation period of transformation through Local Government Reorganisation (LGR), creating a unique opportunity to help design and deliver a new system of local government that works better for residents, communities and partners. We are looking for experienced and driven Programme Managers to play a pivotal role in shaping this future, working the Programme Leads to deliver complex programmes that will redesign services, embed new ways of working and realise meaningful benefits at scale.
As an LGR Programme Manager, you will lead one or more high-profile programmes from initiation through to delivery and benefits realisation. Working closely with senior leaders, elected members and partners, you will provide strong programme leadership, governance and assurance, overseeing multiple projects, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring outcomes are delivered in line with ambitious timescales. Your ability to influence, collaborate and drive change will directly impact the success of local government in Gloucestershire.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of public sector transformation, tackling complex challenges that require cultural change, system redesign and innovative thinking. You will join a collaborative and supportive portfolio team, contributing not only to your own programmes but also to the coherence and success of the wider LGR portfolio. The scale and pace of LGR offer exceptional professional development and the chance to leave a lasting legacy in local government.
We have multiple posts available and welcome applications for full-time or part-time working. The salary range is £53,937 – £57,844, depending on experience. If you are experienced in project and programme management, are motivated by purpose, thrive in complex environments and want to help shape the future of local government in Gloucestershire, we would love to hear from you.
