About the role

Join our people-focused HR team!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised and detail-driven HR and Payroll Assistant to join our team on a fixed- term basis to provide maternity cover. You will play an important role in providing seamless administrative support to employees, managers and the wider HR function.

This is an exciting opportunity to become the first point of contact for all HR related matters and enquiries, ensuring a positive experience at every stage of the employee lifecycle. You will assist with the day-to-day administrative tasks, ranging from recruitment and onboarding to payroll inputting, you’ll be supporting a wide range of essential processes that keep the council running effectively.

To thrive in this role, you will bring experience in maintaining accurate HR systems and records, excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to supporting a busy HR team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, working collaboratively, and providing high quality support.
