Facilities, Support & Maintenance Officer
Job Description
We’re looking for a practical, pro-active and reliable Facilities, Support & Maintenance Officer to join our small but busy Support Service team. You’ll help us to make our offices a safe and welcoming environment for colleagues and stakeholders and tenants to be in.
What you’ll do:
· Key holder responsibilities including setting alarms, opening/ closing buildings and support/ response to contractor callout requests/ emergencies, as required
· Providing access assistance and direction to visitors and contractors
· Assisting with building evacuations when needed
· Support site relocation plans and assisting with office moves
· Assisting Property Services with basic day to day, general property and garden upkeep and hands-on property maintenance tasks.
· Scheduled/daily walk around to ensure housekeeping and general maintenance is in order, including attending to meeting room bookings
· Inventory/ checks, order placing, administration tasks including processing invoices for payment, unpacking/ unloading, storage and stock reviews.
· Support with gritting and making safe all access points to buildings.
· General Postroom activities including inward/ outward/ sorting of post and packages, liaising with couriers and recycling packaging.
· Assisting with collecting income and paperwork from other CBC sites as well as processing and banking
· On occasion, assist with daytime cleaning tasks
What you’ll bring:
• A full UK driving licence
• Experience with manual handling
• Ability to work independently when set tasks and be able to communicate clearly
• Accuracy when recording information
• Awareness of Health & Safety
