Conservation Officer
Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Conservation Officer to assist with the implementation of the Council’s statutory obligations in respect of listed buildings, conservation areas, and other heritage assets.
You will manage listed building consent applications, provide expert advice to colleagues, applicants, and stakeholders, and support planning decisions and pre-application proposals that shape our historic spaces. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a varied caseload of listed building consent applications and associated appeals.
You will play a key role in preserving Cheltenham’s unique character while supporting sustainable development. Join us and help shape the future of our historic environment.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
We will consider requests for part-time hours for this position.
