Black Mountain Clothing
C2S Official Partner
Who we are:
Black Mountain Clothing has always been about far more than supplying embroidered and printed clothing.
We are a people focused business built around service, quality, relationships and doing what we say we are going to do.
Over the last few years, Black Mountain has grown significantly. From our base in Ross on Wye, we now support customers across a wide range of sectors including education, construction, manufacturing, care, hospitality, sport and the public sector.
That growth has come from a very simple approach: look after people, build trust and keep improving.
We were incredibly proud to be recognised as Micro Business of the Year, an award that meant a great deal to the whole team. It recognised not just our commercial growth, but the commitment, energy and attitude of the people behind Black Mountain.
People and culture have always been central to the way I have approached business. In my previous company, achieving Platinum Investors in People status was a significant milestone and reinforced my belief that strong organisations are built by investing in their people, creating the right culture and giving teams a real sense of purpose.
That same philosophy is very much part of Black Mountain today.
We believe people perform at their best when they feel valued, supported and part of something bigger. That culture runs through everything we do, from our production team and customer service through to the way we work with our clients.
Employer branding is also becoming increasingly important. What your team wears says something about your organisation. It helps create identity, professionalism and belonging. We work closely with businesses to make sure their branded clothing reflects who they are and the standards they want to project.
That is one of the reasons we are so excited to partner with C2S.
C2S has built an outstanding community around relationships, collaboration and supporting businesses to grow. Those values align very closely with our own.
For us, this partnership is about much more than promotion. It is about becoming part of a strong business community, building long term relationships and supporting C2S members with a service they can rely on.
We are genuinely excited about what lies ahead and look forward to working with Angela, Suzanne and the wider C2S community over the coming months.
What we do:
Everything we do revolves around four core areas:
IT support and cloud
IT support and cloud is the day to day. A service desk your team can actually reach, monitoring, patching, kit replaced before it fails, access removed the day someone leaves, and Microsoft 365 set up so people can find what they need.
Cyber security
OnyxSecure is our cyber security service. Most of it is preventative, closing the gaps before anyone finds them. Behind that sits detection, response and recovery, so if something does get through it gets caught early and put right.
AI enablement
OnyxAI is our AI enablement programme. The usual pattern is a business buys the licences, runs a launch session, and waits for the productivity. Six months on, a few enthusiasts use it daily and everyone else has gone back to how they worked before. We stay until it’s habit, and we measure who’s actually using it. OnyxAI reaches 85 to 90% sustained use, more than double the industry norm.
Digital innovation and automation
Digital innovation and automation is where the business really moves. Agents running the repetitive work in the background, and your systems joined up so sales talks to invoicing and the same figure stops being typed into three of them. Your team stops feeding the machine and starts using it.
Our people
Nigel Church
Chief Executive Officer
Nigel leads Emerge and sets the direction of the business. Named by SoGlos as one of Gloucestershire’s most influential entrepreneurs. A serious rugby man and a Gloucester season ticket holder.
Tom Henson
Chief Operating Officer
Tom oversees operations, keeping every part of the business running as it should. Support, delivery and the day to day of a company that’s grown quickly. In a previous life he was a DJ, with sets in Ibiza behind him.
Mel Cheeseman
Chief Experience Officer
Mel leads OnyxAI and oversees client experience. She’s a qualified professional coach, which shows in how she approaches AI adoption: the people part, not the software. No relation to the Spice Girl, though she gets asked. Always up for a conversation with leaders and HR teams about AI adoption.
Mark Atkinson
Chief Revenue Officer
Mark is the one you’re most likely to meet at a C2S event, and the easiest to spot, being the tallest person in most rooms. A former Premiership player with Gloucester Rugby. These days he does a fair amount of his networking on a golf course.
