Randall & Payne are pleased to announce that Rob Case has been appointed as Managing Partner, succeeding Tim Watkins, who is stepping aside from the role after a successful period of leadership at the firm.
During his time as Managing Partner, Tim has played a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s direction, culture and values. Under his leadership over the past decade, Randall & Payne has achieved sustainable growth, strengthened client relationships and invested in its people. A significant milestone during Tim’s leadership was the firm achieving B Corp certification, reflecting the firm’s commitment to balancing profit with purpose and operating responsibly for the benefit of clients, colleagues, communities and the wider economy. Tim will continue to support clients, colleagues and the senior team as the firm moves forward into its next phase.
Rob began his journey as a trainee straight from school more than 20 years ago and has been a partner for over half this time. He brings extensive experience across taxation advisory work, leadership and strategic development. Rob has worked closely alongside Tim, helping the firm navigate technological advances impacting the accountancy profession. His appointment reflects the partnership’s focus on innovation, long-term thinking and values led leadership, making him well placed to lead the firm into its next chapter.
Commenting on his appointment, Rob said:
“Randall & Payne has a strong sense of identity and purpose, and I’m proud to step into the role of Managing Partner. Tim has led the firm through an important period of development, including achieving B Corp certification, which says a great deal about the type of firm we are and aspire to be.
The accountancy profession is continuing to evolve and as a partnership we are proud to have kept up with technology, embracing the benefits. The rapid advances in technology, increasing regulation and changing client expectations are reshaping how firms operate. At the same time, clients will continue to seek advisers who go beyond compliance and understand their businesses, provide insight and offer clarity in an increasingly complex environment.”
Rob sees this as an opportunity for the firm and adds:
“Technology will continue to transform how core services are delivered, but our real value lies in our people, our relationships and the confidence we give clients to make good decisions. Our focus will be on investing in our team, improving how we work and ensuring we remain a trusted adviser to ambitious businesses and individuals. This is an exciting time for the firm. We have a clear vision for the future and a talented team to help deliver it.”
Looking ahead, Randall & Payne will continue to prioritise sustainable growth, innovation and responsible business, while remaining firmly rooted in the values that have underpinned the firm for decades.
