The C2S Annual Charity Golf Day returned on Wednesday 20th May 2026 with resounding success, bringing together businesses from across the region for a memorable day of golf, networking and fundraising — all in support of our deserving charities.
This year marked an exciting new chapter for the event, hosted at the picturesque Thornbury Golf & Lodge in the South Gloucestershire countryside. With its welcoming atmosphere, excellent facilities and stunning parkland setting, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for both competitive play and social connection.
Guests were welcomed from the morning with bacon rolls and coffee in the Course View Suite before making their way out onto the Marlwood Course — a beautifully maintained 18-hole course known for its mature trees, natural water features and rewarding layout. Despite a day of mixed weather, from sunshine to blustery winds and passing showers, spirits remained high throughout.
A strong line-up of teams took to the course, representing organisations including Crowe UK, Hazlewoods, BPE, A&E Fire & Safety, Owen Daniels and Thornbury Golf Club, among others. Players competed across a range of challenges including Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive, alongside the ever-popular Yellow Ball competition.
After a closely contested day, Crowe UK emerged as overall winners with an impressive 90 points, followed by Thornbury Golf Club in second place with 89 points. Third place was narrowly secured by Owen Daniels with 87 points, edging out Hazlewoods on countback in one of the tightest finishes in recent years.
1st Place- Crowe UK
2nd Place – Thornbury Golf Club
3rd Place – Owen Daniels
Special competition winners included:
- Yellow Ball: Thornbury Golf Club (the only team to return their ball)
- Longest Drive (9th hole): Matt Baker, Hazlewoods
- Nearest the Pin (14th hole): Ellis Reece, Thornbury Golf Club
Following the golf, guests returned to the clubhouse to enjoy a two-course dinner and prize giving ceremony, proudly sponsored by Hazlewoods for the fourth consecutive year.
The event was made possible thanks to the generous support of sponsors and partners. Particular thanks go to hole sponsors Lease Electric, Crowe UK, BPE, Switch Health and Hazlewoods, as well as the many businesses who donated raffle prizes, helping to maximise fundraising on the day.
C2S also extends sincere thanks to Caroline Williams and the entire team at Thornbury Golf & Lodge for their outstanding hospitality, along with Jack Coles for his support throughout the day, Connor Harries of Switch Health for managing scoring, and all those who contributed behind the scenes — including the ever-popular refreshments buggy.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all those who generously donated raffle prizes, helping us to raise even more funds for our charities. This year’s contributions came from RRA Architects, Hazlewoods, A&E Fire & Safety, Lease Electric, Hotel du Vin, The Ivy Cheltenham, The Everyman Theatre, Laithwaites and Thornbury Golf & Lodge, whose support is hugely appreciated. Their kindness and generosity played an important role in the success of the day and in maximising the impact we can make across our chosen causes.
Reflecting on the day, organisers described it as “one of the most enjoyable and successful events to date,” with fantastic participation, generous support, and a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish.
Plans are already underway for 2027, with C2S looking forward to welcoming returning and new teams for another outstanding day of golf and giving back.
