A Full House at Dunkerton Park
Last week, the C2S Awards Shortlist Celebration brought together nearly 300 business leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators for an evening of recognition, celebration, and connection. The event, held at the iconic Dunkerton Park, showcased the outstanding organisations that make up the region’s vibrant business community.
Guests were welcomed with a drink from Juice Recruitment, serving the award-winning Dunkerton cider, and Laithwaites provided a selection of fine wines to enjoy throughout the evening. The atmosphere was electric, with attendees from across Gloucestershire, Bristol, Swindon & Wiltshire, Worcestershire, the West Midlands, and South Wales all coming together to celebrate business success.
The evening highlighted the remarkable achievements of shortlisted organisations, from micro businesses to established enterprises, across diverse sectors. Attendees heard inspiring insights from guest speakers, including Darren Wilding CMIOSH and Richard Walker from G-TEKT Europe Manufacturing Ltd, multi-award winners in 2024 and 2025, who shared the secrets of their success and the culture that drives their business.
Chris Pockett, Head of Communications at Renishaw plc shared with us the process to make and design the unique C2S Awards. These will be made by Renishaw for the 3rd year running and include 10,000 layers of 3D printing. Huge thank you to Craig Bailey, Chris Pockett and the team for creating these outstanding, very specil awards.
C2S Co Founders Suzanne Hall-Gibbins and Angela Edwards-Stead addressed the room, praising the resilience, innovation, and leadership demonstrated by all entrants. “Being shortlisted is a recognition of hard work, determination, and commitment to excellence. Tonight is about celebrating not just awards, but the people behind these incredible organisations,” they said.
The celebration also offered a chance for networking, with opportunities to make new connections, share ideas, and gain inspiration for future growth.
Looking ahead, the C2S Business Awards Finalists Event is set for 14th May, with ticket sales now open for the big night on 2nd July at Cheltenham Racecourse, including early-bird discounts. C2S encourages all attendees and supporters to join this outstanding business event, the biggest business party in the region event — a true celebration of business excellence in the region.
