200 Businesspeople Gathered to Celebrate Success at C2S Awards Finalists Drinks
The countdown to the C2S Awards 2026 officially stepped up a gear last Thursday, as over 200 business leaders, teams, partners and supporters came together at Manor by the Lake for an evening of celebration, connection and inspiration at the C2S Awards Finalists Drinks.
The atmosphere was electric as finalists from across the South West, Midlands and South Wales gathered to recognise an incredible achievement — reaching finalist stage in what has been the most competitive year in the Awards’ history.
With over 350 entries received this year, the quality of submissions was described by judges as “exceptional”, highlighting inspiring stories of leadership, innovation, resilience and impact. Simply becoming a finalist places these organisations firmly in the top tier of businesses across the region.
Co-Founders of C2S, Suzanne Hall-Gibbins and Angela Edwards-Stead, welcomed guests and set the tone for the evening, encouraging everyone to take a moment to reflect on how far they have come.
“In business, we rarely stop long enough to recognise success,” they shared. “Tonight is about celebrating your people, your teams and the journey you are on — alongside an inspiring community of organisations all striving to make a difference.”
The evening brought together finalists, judges and sponsors, creating a powerful environment for new connections, shared experiences and meaningful conversations. Guests also heard directly from some of the judges, who spoke about the strength, diversity and ambition demonstrated across this year’s entries.

The audience was treated to a series of inspiring contributions throughout the evening. Andy Hunt of Holiday Architects, last year’s double award winner, shared his experience of the Awards journey and the impact it has had on both his business and team. His story brought to life the true value of recognition — not just externally, but internally for culture, confidence and growth.
Nik Venios, CEO and Founder of The Ideas Agency, delivered a thought-provoking session on leadership, belief and innovation, challenging businesses to turn ideas into action and stay ahead in an ever-evolving landscape. Guests were also inspired by Jo Evans from The Everyman Theatre, who highlighted the power of community impact, alongside a truly uplifting performance from the EveryVoice Choir — a standout moment that captured the spirit of the C2S community.

The event was hosted at the stunning Manor by the Lake — a venue close to the heart of the C2S journey, having hosted the very first C2S Awards. Guests enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, including the new Garden Room extension, while celebrating in a relaxed and vibrant setting.
