Last week Cheltenham Borough Council gave the green light for a new state-of-the-art facility at Cheltenham General Hospital. The new cancer centre will offer patients modern clinical and treatment spaces, access to digital consultations, a dedicated support centre for patients and loved ones, as well as peaceful therapeutic gardens.
This significant milestone is thanks to the amazing support of the community who have supported The Big Space Cancer Appeal Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity to help make this new centre a reality. Planning approval a huge step forward in transforming cancer care for patients and families throughout Gloucestershire and beyond. ๐
What is the Big Space Cancer Appeal?
Help us build a bigger, brighter home for cancer care – for you, your loved ones, your community.
The Big Space Cancer Appeal is raising funds for a new cancer centre that will offer local patients the very best environment for treatment, healing and recovery.
Many kind people have supported our vision with donations and fundraising. Thanks to you, we have raised ยฃ9.8m towards the ยฃ12m estimated cost for the new build. This forms part of our overall ยฃ17.5m target which also includes a planned later phase to transform the existing Oncology Centre facilities.
