🎄 C2S Christmas Lunch – A Wonderful Celebration Together
Last week we welcomed around 100 members of the C2S community to our annual Christmas Lunch, held in the beautiful surroundings of Manor by the Lake. It was a fantastic opportunity for us all to come together, reflect on the year, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate the festive season in style.
The room was filled with conversation, laughter and Christmas cheer, reminding us just how special these gatherings are for bringing people together.

We are delighted to share that through our raffle and envelope draw, we raised an impressive £1,355 to support the important work of The Nelson Trust.
🎤 Hearing from Kirsty Day — A Powerful Personal Story
One of the highlights of our Christmas Lunch was hearing from Kirsty Day, the Director of Recovery at The Nelson Trust. Her story was deeply moving, a powerful testimony to the transformative impact of the support provided by The Nelson Trust and the difference it made to Kirsty.
Kirsty brings first-hand experience and compassion to her role. In her leadership capacity, she oversees the full spectrum of The Nelson Trust’s services — from detox and residential rehab to aftercare, recovery housing, community support and employment pathways.
Her journey, and the work she leads, demonstrate why organisations like The Nelson Trust matter so much. Listening to her reminded us all that recovery is possible — that with support, care, understanding and opportunity, lives can change for the better.
Having someone like Kirsty speak with such honesty and authenticity added a special gravity to our event. It reinforced that our fundraising isn’t just a symbolic act, it can help make real, tangible differences in people’s lives.

🎅 Making a Difference This Christmas
We’d also like to say an enormous thank you to all who brought along Festival 5 products in support of the CCP Hamper Scamper appeal. The donated items will be packed into hampers and distributed next week to families and individuals in need, helping make the festive season a little brighter for many.
