The Heart Heroes pathway is designed to support Heart families from pre-birth through to adulthood.

Our ongoing support networks include family support in hospital, family days out and events, support via our online portal, online resources, play therapy, family Facebook page and bereavement support.
In addition to the ongoing support available for families, we also offer age specific projects for Heart Heroes to have fun, build confidence and receive the support they need.

The I CAN project provides inclusive & diverse activities, encouraging children to take part to their own ability.

Aimed at children from 4 - 11 years, across 2 age groups 4-7 and 8-11 years, meeting regularly to celebrate abilities not disabilities.

Play Therapy in schools is offered :

• Play is a child’s natural way of understanding the world

• Play therapy provides a safe space for children to process emotions

• It promotes emotional growth, problem-solving skills, and resilience

Young Adults is a supportive community designed for individuals aged 12 years and older who are living with a heart condition.

Through engaging and purposeful activities, Heart Heroes Young Adults not only have fun but also build confidence and receive the support they need. This group serves as a valuable resource for young individuals navigating life with a heart condition, offering them a platform to connect, grow, and thrive.

We see you sessions, we know how challenging it is to raise a child with a heart condition. Between medical appointments, surgeries, medications, and just trying to keep family life running smoothly, it can feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to do it alone. Our meetups are here to support you, so you can take a break and get the help you need.

Sibling sessions, so siblings can come together to support each other and feel supported by other sibling going through the journey.
