Laura Mears

After completing aPPE degree at Oxford University, Laura spent the early part of her career working in education, at Dean Close School, Cheltenham. Highlights included leading a very successful department, empowering colleagues and delivering measurable results for students. During this time she had the opportunity to pioneer the establishment of a sister school in rural Uganda, a mutually enriching partnership still thriving today.

Building on their transferable skills in communication, results delivery, and mentoring, Laura and her husband James established Salmon Leadership Development in 2019. She is a certified GiANT guide, holding 5 Voices and Coaching Certifications. She is also qualified in Executive Leadership Coaching through the Predictive Leadership Behaviours programme authored by GiANT co-founder Steve Cockram. This coaching combines Jung Typology, Myers Briggs, William Schulz and Applied Leadership Learning, including analysis elements that can’t be found anywhere else.  James is also a GiANT guide, a qualified MBTI practitioner and the leadership and development coach for the Dean Close Foundation.

The Salmon team possesses expertise in every area of cultural transformation – ranging from inspiring keynotes and executive facilitation to leaders’ toolkits and 1-2-1 coaching. We exist to partner with companies to dramatically improve team performance, staff retention, culture, productivity, and impact on your bottom line.
