Event details

There are moments when you can read about something…
And then there are moments when you stand inside it.

We invite you to join us for an exclusive, small-group tour of the current Oncology Unit at Cheltenham General Hospital, a chance to understand first-hand why a new Oncology Centre is urgently needed, and why supporting the Big Space Cancer Appeal is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform cancer care across our region.

This is not a fundraising dinner.
It’s not a presentation in a boardroom.

It’s seeing the reality.
And understanding the possibility.

🕕 Timetable

6.00pm– Guests arrive
6.30pm – Small groups walk to the Oncology Centre to begin guided tours
7.00pm – Questions and discussion with clinical and appeal representatives
7.30pm – Close

Why This Matters

Cancer touches nearly every family.
But the environment in which people receive treatment shapes their experience profoundly and supports a quicker recovery.

The Big Space Cancer Appeal aims to create:

• More space, more dignity, more privacy
• Enhanced treatment facilities
• A calmer, more supportive environment for patients and families

This is about capacity.
It’s about experience.
It’s about ensuring cancer care in our region is fit for the next generation.

Because when you see it for yourself, you understand why this moment matters. 💚

Real Progress. Real Momentum.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of individuals, local businesses and community fundraisers, The Big Space Cancer Appeal has now raised more than £9 million towards its £17.5 million target — that’s over halfway there.

This significant milestone means the appeal has the momentum to move into the next phase of the project, with planning approvals progressing and preparations underway for construction of the new Oncology Centre. The funds already pledged and donated reflect a shared belief in what a modern, patient-centred facility can do for cancer care in our region.

But the story isn’t finished yet — every additional gift brings us closer to building a centre that will support patients and families for decades to come.
