Corporate Social Responsibility Award

Proudly Sponsored By

About the Award

Celebrating businesses that make a positive impact beyond the bottom line.

Great businesses recognise that success isn’t just about financial performance. It’s also about the positive difference they make to their people, communities and the environment.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Award 2027 recognises businesses that have embedded responsible practices into their values and everyday operations, demonstrating a genuine commitment to sustainability, ethical business practices and community engagement.

Whether through charitable partnerships, employee volunteering, environmental initiatives, inclusive workplace practices or innovative approaches to social responsibility, we want to celebrate businesses that are making a meaningful difference.

Who Can Enter?

This award is open to businesses of all sizes and sectors demonstrating a commitment to corporate social responsibility in the South West, Midlands and South Wales, including Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bath, Worcestershire and surrounding areas.

Please note: The CSR Award is specifically for businesses. Community organisations, Community Interest Companies (CICs) and charitable organisations should enter the Community Award instead.

Entrants cannot enter both the CSR Award and the Community Award.

Entry is completely free and open to both C2S members and non-members.

Judging Criteria

Our judges want to understand how your business is making a positive difference beyond its commercial activities.

Every business approaches CSR differently, so you don’t need to demonstrate all the areas below. These are suggestions to help you showcase your initiatives, achievements and impact.

You might like to tell us about:

  • Community Impact: Charitable initiatives, volunteering, fundraising or projects that deliver meaningful benefits to local or wider communities.
  • Environmental Sustainability: How your business is reducing waste, improving energy efficiency, protecting the environment or introducing more sustainable ways of working.
  • CSR & Business Values: How social responsibility, sustainability and ethical practices are reflected in your company’s values, strategy and everyday operations.
  • Employee Involvement & Wellbeing: How you encourage employees to participate in CSR activities, support their wellbeing and create a sense of shared purpose.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Initiatives that promote fairness, inclusivity and equal opportunities within your business or the wider community.
  • Partnerships & Collaboration: How you work with charities, community groups, suppliers or other organisations to increase your positive impact.
  • Innovation in CSR: Creative approaches to addressing social, environmental or economic challenges.
  • Communication & Transparency: How you share your CSR commitments, achievements and challenges, or help raise awareness of important issues.
  • Measuring Your Impact: Examples, feedback or measurable results demonstrating the difference your initiatives have made.
  • Long-Term Commitment: How you’re developing and improving your CSR activities to deliver lasting benefits. This could include alignment with recognised frameworks such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Most importantly, tell us what your business is doing, why it matters and the difference you’re making.
