B Corp

B Corp is a global movement of businesses committed to balancing purpose and profit, meeting the highest standards of social and environmental impact to create a better world.

What is B Corp and Why is it Important

B Corp certification is a mark of trust that signifies a company’s commitment to social and environmental responsibility, transparency, and ethical business practices. Integrating B Corp principles into your strategy can drive sustainable growth, attract like-minded customers and partners, enhance brand reputation, and future-proof your business in an evolving market that values purpose as much as profit.

New B Corp Standards launching January 2026

The B Corp standards are currently transitioning away from an 80 point flexible scoring system to minimum mandatory requirements with no scoring. This is the biggest transformation of the B Corp standards since they started and it’s so that they remain up to date with the current world context.

Businesses have until 31st December 2025 to submit on the current standards but from January 2026, everyone has to submit on the new minimum mandatory requirements.

How will the new B Corp standards be different?

The minimum mandatory requirements will be tailored to your company according to your:

  • Size
  • Sector
  • Location

In terms of the topics covered, they’re moving from 5 impact areas, which are currently (Governance, Workers, Community, Environment & Customers) to now 7 impact topics

  • Purpose & stakeholder governance
  • Fair Work
  • Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI)
  • Human Rights
  • Climate Action
  • Environmental stewardship & Circularity
  • Government Affairs & Collective Action

With the new B Corp standards being far more tailored to individual businesses, expert guidance is more crucial than ever—enabling truly transformative outcomes. This is why C2S have partnered with Better Business. Better World to support our members on their social and environmental responsibility journeys.
