GL1 5HE – Join our team as a pharmacy assistant and learn how to provide excellent customer service, support the prescription dispensing service, offer health advice, and keep the pharmacy well-stocked and organised. You will also gain a pharmacy qualification while working with us.

 

Annual wage – £12,313.60 a year
Training course – Pharmacy services assistant (level 2)
Hours – Monday to Friday, half days on Saturdays (Shifts)
37 hours a week

Work:

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work:

Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship – Gloucester GL1
As a pharmacy assistant, you will acquire retail experience, knowledge of over-the-counter medicines, skills in prescription dispensing, responsibility for ordering pharmaceutical stock, and the ability to advise customers on minor ailments and over-the-counter medication.

£6.40ph but negotiable for the right applicant

Requirements:

Desirable qualifications:
GCSE or equivalent in:

– Maths and English (grade 4)
– Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements:

Learning will be delivered online in a live virtual classroom environment in the pharmacy, so candidates need to be competent in and have access to a computer.

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
