What type of things will I be working on?

On this 12-month Industrial Placement, you’ll join our Early Careers team and contribute to projects that enhance our graduate, apprentice and placement programmes. You’ll gain an understanding of the full Early Careers lifecycle, from recruitment through to programme completion, whilst developing valuable skills and making a tangible impact on the experience of our Early Careers population.

You’ll gain experience across areas including:

  • Content and communications – manage Early Careers content on our intranet, create social media and development materials, and film and edit video content.
  • Project ownership and improvement – support and lead projects and initiatives that improve our Early Careers programmes and processes.
  • Stakeholder engagement – work with colleagues across the business and support recruitment campaigns, events and key programme activities.
  • Programme delivery – gain experience across the full Early Careers lifecycle, supporting the team during recruitment and throughout the placement, graduate and apprenticeship programmes.

You’ll develop transferable skills in communication, problem-solving, time management and resilience, alongside practical experience with websites, databases, social media, Excel and process improvement.

Where will I be working?

This role is based out of one of our main sites near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire. As Renishaw sites are located in semi-rural areas, applicants must ensure they have reliable means of transport to reach the site, as public transportation options will be limited. Alternatively, applicants should be willing to relocate to the local area.

What do I need?

We welcome applications from students studying any undergraduate degree. Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in one of these areas will be strongly considered. If you are passionate about early careers and developing future talent but feel as though you don’t meet all the requirements, we would encourage you still to apply.
